DO NOT USE GPS - if you are in an RV it will send you down a road with low narrow tunnels that you will not fit through!!

EASY ROUTES
From I - 90 heading West - take Exit 61 - which is Truck Route 16. Follow Truck Route 16 toward Keystone (Mt. Rushmore). Take a left onto US 16. Follow the signs to the town of Keystone (Mt Rushmore). In the town of Keystone take a left at the stop light onto Hwy 40 East. Go approximately 3 miles, turn right onto Playhouse Road, go to the end (approx. 4 miles). Turn left onto US 16A also known as Iron Mountain Road. Spokane Creek is about half a mile on the right.
From I - 90 heading East - take Exit 57 - which is US 16 or Mt. Rushmore Rd. Follow the signs to the town of Keystone (Mt. Rushmore). In the town of Keystone take a left at the stop light onto Hwy 40 East. Go approximately 3 miles, turn right onto Playhouse Road, go to the end (approx 4 miles). Turn left onto US 16A also known as Iron Mountain Road. Spokane Creek is about half a mile on the right.
Coming from the south - from the Jct of Hwy 385 & Hwy 79 (Maverick Jct.) - take Hwy 79 to Hermosa turn left on Hwy 36 toward Custer State Park. Just before the entrance to the Park you will need to turn right onto Iron Mountain Road. Spokane Creek is 7 miles up Iron Mountain Road on the left side. If you are traveling in an RV there will be warning signs when you turn onto Iron Mountain Road regarding low, narrow tunnels. Do not worry, you will reach the campground before you reach the tunnels.
From Custer - follow US 16A eastbound through Custer State Park. Once you leave the park on the east side, 16A turns left (north). Once you turn left go 7 miles and Spokane Creek is on the left. If you are traveling in an RV there will be warning signs about low, narrow tunnels. Do not worry, you will reach the campground before you reach the tunnels.

SCENIC ROUTE - " Through the pigtail bridges and tunnels"
CAUTION FOR LARGER RV'S - Shortest tunnel height 12'2", smallest width 13'2" - Pigtail bridges have tight curves.
From the Jct. of US 16A and SD 244 - (between Keystone and Mt. Rushmore) turn south on US 16A for 10 miles.
Spokane Creek will be on the right.
