RESERVATION TERMS & CONDITIONS
RESERVATION DEPOSIT & PAYMENT
A two (2) night deposit is required to make a reservation. The remaining balance of the reservation is due at check-in, unless otherwise stated in these Terms & Conditions.
A valid credit card must be provided and kept on file for ALL reservations.
By making a reservation, the guest acknowledges and agrees to all Reservation Terms & Conditions, including the applicable cancellation policy and campground rules.
These Terms & Conditions must be signed by the guest for the reservation to be considered valid.
CANCELLATION POLICY
CABINS
• 30 days or more before arrival: The two-night deposit will be refunded, less a $35.00 cancellation fee per cabin.
• 15–29 days before arrival: The entire deposit is forfeited and will not be refunded.
• 14 days or less before arrival: The guest will be responsible for the entire reservation amount. No refund will be issued.
RV & TENT SITES
All RV and tent site cancellations are subject to a $25.00 cancellation fee per site.
The same cancellation schedule applies:
• 30 days or more before arrival: The deposit will be refunded, less the $25.00 cancellation fee per site.
• 15–29 days before arrival: The deposit is forfeited and will not be refunded.
• 14 days or less before arrival: No refund will be issued, and the guest is responsible for the remaining balance of the reserved dates.
*RV & Tent sites are not guaranteed. Management reserves the right to move reservations to equal or better sites
LATE ARRIVALS, EARLY DEPARTURES & SHORTENED STAYS
No refunds will be given for late arrivals, shortened stays, unused nights, or early departures, regardless of whether the guest arrives later than the scheduled check-in date or chooses to leave before the scheduled departure date.
This policy applies to both cabins and RV/tent sites.
CHANGES OR MOVING A RESERVATION
Reservations are for the current camping season and may not be moved from the current season into the following camping season.
If management agrees to move a reservation to another date within the same camping season as a courtesy, the original reservation's cancellation terms remain applicable.
Moving a reservation does not reset or extend the original cancellation period unless specifically approved in writing by management.
If the guest subsequently cancels the rescheduled reservation, the reservation will not qualify for a refund of the original deposit or any other amount that would have been forfeited under the original reservation dates.
UNEXPECTED EVENTS
We understand that unexpected circumstances and life events happen. While we sincerely sympathize with guests experiencing unforeseen circumstances, cancellations and refunds will be handled according to the applicable cancellation policy.
Exceptions are not guaranteed and are at the sole discretion of management.
STURGIS MOTORCYCLE RALLY RESERVATIONS
Sturgis Motorcycle Rally reservations are subject to special cancellation and payment terms.
• No refunds will be given for Rally reservations canceled after March 1.
• Cancellations made on or before March 1 may be eligible for a refund, subject to the applicable cancellation fee and management's cancellation procedures.
• Payment in full for Rally reservations is due by May 30.
• Any remaining balance will be charged to the credit card on file around June 1.
• A five (5) night minimum stay is required for cabin reservations during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
Rally reservations are subject to the special Rally cancellation policy above rather than the standard cancellation policy.
CABIN OCCUPANCY & CABIN USE
All cabins have a maximum occupancy that may not be exceeded or changed.
The maximum occupancy applies to all persons staying in the cabin, regardless of age or sleeping arrangements. Guests may not exceed the stated occupancy by having additional children or adults sleep in the same bed or otherwise attempting to accommodate additional guests within the cabin.
CABIN 23
Cabin 23 requires a minimum three (3) night stay.
Cabin 23 has a maximum occupancy of ten (10) guests. This maximum occupancy may not be exceeded under any circumstances.
CABIN SETUP & FURNISHINGS
Guests may not remodel, rearrange, modify, or change the intended setup or configuration of a cabin.
• Mattresses may not be removed from beds or placed on the floor.
• Room dividers, curtains, sheets, blankets, or other materials may not be hung to create additional rooms or sleeping areas.
• Furniture, beds, fixtures, or other cabin furnishings may not be moved or altered without management approval.
Guests may be charged $250.00 for damage or additional cleaning resulting from unauthorized alterations or changes to the cabin.
NO SMOKING
ALL CABINS ARE NON-SMOKING.
Smoking is prohibited inside all cabins and other campground buildings.
A $250.00 additional cleaning fee will be charged to anyone who smokes inside a cabin or any other building on the property.
TENT & SITE OCCUPANCY
A tent site rental is for one (1) tent. Each site has a maximum occupancy of six (6) people and two (2) dogs.
Additional tents may be permitted for an additional $25.00 per night per tent, provided the additional tent(s) remain completely within the boundaries of the rented tent site.
If a tent extends into or encroaches upon another campsite, the guest will be required to:
• Move the tent completely within the rented site's boundaries;
• Remove the tent; or
• Rent the additional campsite, if available.
Tents are not permitted on RV sites or cabin sites.
Guests may not rent a tent site and then use a cabin for those guests to sleep in. Cabin occupancy and tent-site occupancy are separate and may not be combined to circumvent occupancy limits.
HAMMOCKS
Guests who choose to hang or use a hammock on the campground property do so entirely at their own risk and only within the boundaries of their assigned site.
Campground trees have not been inspected, rated, or approved for the additional weight, stress, or forces associated with hammocks or this type of camping equipment. Spokane Creek Cabins & Campground does not warrant that any tree, branch, or other natural feature is suitable or safe for hanging a hammock.
Guests are responsible for selecting an appropriate location and for determining whether the tree or other structure is suitable for their hammock and intended use.
If a tree or any part of a tree is damaged, becomes damaged, falls, or causes damage as a result of a guest's hammock or hammock-related use, the guest will be responsible for all costs associated with the damage.
This includes, but is not limited to, costs for tree trimming, removal of branches, removal of the tree, cleanup, disposal, repairs, property damage, and any other expenses incurred as a result of the damage.
If a tree or branch damages another guest, guest's vehicle, RV, trailer, personal property, campsite, or other belongings as a result of a hammock or hammock-related activity, the guest who installed or used the hammock will be responsible for all resulting costs and damages.
Spokane Creek Cabins & Campground will not be responsible for any damages, injuries, losses, or costs associated with the installation or use of a hammock, including damage caused by a tree or branch used to support a hammock.
Guests must not damage, cut, drill, nail, screw, or otherwise permanently alter any tree or campground property when installing or using a hammock.
PETS AT TENT SITES
Dogs are not allowed to remain unattended at tent sites.
If a dog is left unattended, the guest will be required to return to the campground. Continued violation may result in cancellation of the reservation without a refund. Do not leave dogs tied to trees.

Check-in: 1:00 PM Check-out: 11:00 AM
Early check-in or late check-out, if available and approved by management, will incur an additional $25.00 fee.
CABINS
Check-in: 2:00 PM Check-out: 10:00 AM
Early check-in or late check-out, if available and approved by management, will incur an additional $50.00 fee.
Early check-in and late check-out are not guaranteed and are subject to availability.
QUIET HOURS & SPECIAL EVENTS
Spokane Creek Cabins & Campground generally maintains designated quiet hours 10:00 pm -7:00 am for the benefit of our guests.
From time to time, special events, live music, rallies, holidays, or other activities may take place at the campground, and quiet hours may be adjusted or temporarily modified for those events.
Guests acknowledge that event-related noise and activity may occur during special events and agree to review posted event information and any temporary changes to campground quiet hours.
GENERATORS
NO GENERATORS ARE PERMITTED anywhere on the campground unless specifically authorized in writing by management.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING
ABSOLUTELY NO ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING IS PERMITTED ANYWHERE ON THE CAMPGROUND.
Guests may not use campground electrical outlets, cabin outlets, RV electrical connections, or any other campground electrical service to charge an electric vehicle.
Violation of this policy will result in a $300.00 charge, plus the guest will be responsible for all costs associated with repairs, replacement, electrical damage, or other expenses resulting from the violation.
The guest may also be held financially responsible for damages or losses incurred by other guests as a result of violating this policy, including damage to or interruption of campground electrical systems or services.
PROPANE SERVICE
Propane filling is a separate service offered by Spokane Creek Cabins & Campground and is not included as part of a camping or cabin reservation.
WE DO NOT FILL ON-BOARD PROPANE TANKS.
Propane tanks must be completely removed from the RV, trailer, or vehicle before they can be filled.
NO EXCEPTIONS.
Management and staff will not fill a propane tank that remains attached to an RV, trailer, vehicle, or other equipment.
FIREWOOD & FIRE RESTRICTIONS
For the protection of the Black Hills and surrounding forests:
Firewood may not be brought into the campground from more than 100 miles away or from outside the State of South Dakota.
Firewood is available for purchase on-site.
Guests are required to comply with all applicable fire restrictions and burn bans.
If a burn ban or fire restriction is implemented because of extreme drought conditions or other fire danger, no discount, refund, or adjustment will be granted because campfires or other fires are prohibited.
WEATHER & NATURAL CONDITIONS
Guests understand that weather conditions are part of visiting the Black Hills of South Dakota.
No refunds will be given because of rain, wind, hail, storms, temperature, smoke, drought, fire restrictions, or other weather or natural conditions.
Spokane Creek Cabins & Campground is not responsible for damage, loss, interruption, or inconvenience caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, fire, storms, flooding, or other Acts of God, to the extent permitted by law.
IRON MOUNTAIN ROAD & TRAVEL CONDITIONS
Guests acknowledge that Spokane Creek Cabins & Campground is located on Iron Mountain Road in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
Iron Mountain Road is a scenic mountain road with numerous curves, turns, elevation changes, narrow sections, and other roadway characteristics. Guests will also travel on two-lane roads through much of the Black Hills region.
Spokane Creek Cabins & Campground did not design, construct, or control the public roads leading to the campground and has no control over the number of curves or turns, road design, road conditions, guardrails, traffic, construction, weather conditions, or other characteristics of those roads.
Guests are responsible for determining whether the route and road conditions are appropriate for their vehicle, trailer, RV, motorcycle, or other mode of transportation.
No refund will be given because a guest does not like Iron Mountain Road, the route taken to reach the campground, the road conditions, the number of curves or turns, or the roads traveled to reach Spokane Creek Cabins & Campground.
Guests are encouraged to review the cancellation policy before making a reservation.
PET POLICY
A maximum of two (2) dogs weighing under 40 pounds each are permitted in cabins.
• Pet fee: $35.00 per pet, per night, plus applicable tax.
• Dogs 40 pounds or more are not permitted in cabins.
• All dogs must be properly disclosed and included on the reservation.
If a guest brings a dog that is not listed on the reservation, an additional $100.00 per night, plus applicable tax, will be charged.
Guests who bring a dog that does not meet the cabin pet requirements may be required to board the dog elsewhere or leave the property without a refund.
Guests are responsible for reviewing and complying with the complete Spokane Creek Cabins & Campground Pet Policy before bringing a pet onto the property. Guest are responsible for cleaning up after their dog. Dogs must be non-aggressive &, controllable. Excessive or uncontrolled barking will not be tolerated Violation of the Pet Policy may result in the guest being required to leave the property without a refund.
PET LEASH REQUIREMENT
Pets MUST be on a leash at all times, including while at the guest's campsite. Dogs are not permitted to run loose anywhere on the property.In particular, dogs are not permitted to run loose in the field area by RV Sites 54–62.
Guests must clean up after their pets. Failure to clean up the site prior to departure will result in a $100.00 site cleaning fee.
GRILLS & CABIN DECKS
Grills are NOT permitted on cabin decks or on the railings of any cabin.
Guests must use grills only in locations specifically designated and approved by management.
ILLEGAL DRUGS & UNDERAGE DRINKING
The use, possession, distribution, or sale of illegal drugs is prohibited anywhere on Spokane Creek Cabins & Campground property.
ZERO TOLERANCE: Violation of this policy may result in immediate removal from the property without a refund, and law enforcement may be notified.
Underage drinking is prohibited.
Guests are responsible for complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
This includes marijuana. Guests should be aware that South Dakota law does not provide full reciprocity for medical marijuana cards issued by other states. Guests are responsible for understanding and complying with applicable South Dakota law.
Alcohol can not be left out unattended in any of the Cabins, RV/Tent sites. Remember there are young children/adults on the Campground.
GENERAL PROPERTY RULES
Guests are responsible for the conduct of everyone included in their reservation, including family members, children, visitors, and additional guests.
Failure to comply with these Terms & Conditions, campground rules, safety requirements, or applicable laws may result in additional charges, removal from the property, or termination of the reservation without a refund, depending on the nature of the violation.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR RESERVATION PARTY
The person making the reservation is responsible for the conduct and actions of every person in their party, including adults, children, family members, visitors, and any other guests associated with the reservation.
By making the reservation, the reservation holder agrees that any charges, damages, fees, cleaning costs, policy violation charges, or other costs incurred by any member of their party may be charged to the credit card on file or otherwise collected from the reservation holder.
This includes, but is not limited to, damage to campground or cabin property, damage to another guest's property, excessive cleaning, unauthorized occupancy, violations of pet policies, violations of campground rules, or any other charges resulting from the actions of a member of the reservation party.
The reservation holder understands and agrees that Spokane Creek Cabins & Campground is not responsible for identifying, locating, or obtaining the name, address, telephone number, or other contact information of the individual member of the party who caused the damage or incurred the charge.
The reservation holder is responsible for recovering any amount charged from the individual member of their party if the reservation holder believes another member of the party should be responsible for the cost.
Spokane Creek Cabins & Campground will deal directly with the person who made the reservation and will not be responsible for pursuing individual members of the reservation party for reimbursement.
By making the reservation, the reservation holder authorizes Spokane Creek Cabins & Campground to charge the credit card on file for applicable charges and costs incurred by members of their party, subject to applicable law.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT & AGREEMENT
By making a reservation with Spokane Creek Cabins & Campground, the guest acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to these Reservation Terms & Conditions and all applicable campground, cabin, pet, safety, and property policies.
Guests are responsible for reviewing these policies before making a reservation and for ensuring that all members of their party understand and comply with them.
These Terms & Conditions must be signed by the guest for the reservation to be considered valid.
DIRECTIONS TO CAMPGROUND
DO NOT USE YOUR GPS!
A GPS does not work well in the Black Hills and may get you lost or bring you in a direction that is not suitable for RVs. Please follow the directions below when traveling to Spokane Creek Cabins & Campground.
COMING FROM THE SOUTH — FROM HWY 79
From Hwy 79, turn left onto Hwy 36 and go approximately 9 miles. Just before the entrance to Custer State Park, turn right onto Iron Mountain Road. Spokane Creek is approximately 7 miles on the left. You will reach us before the tunnels.
FROM THE CITY OF CUSTER
Follow US Hwy 16A toward Custer State Park for approximately 18 miles. You will travel all the way through the park on 16A. Once you leave the park on the east side, 16A turns left. Take the left turn onto 16A (Iron Mountain Road). You will reach us before you reach the tunnels — do not panic! Spokane Creek is approximately 7 miles on the left.
FROM RAPID CITY
Follow the signs to Keystone / Mt. Rushmore. In Keystone, turn left at the stoplight onto Highway 40 East and travel approximately 2.5 miles. Turn right onto Playhouse Road. Go approximately 4.5 miles until you come to a stop sign where the road ends. Turn left and go approximately 1 mile. Spokane Creek Cabins & Campground is on the right.
