Spokane Creek was established as a campground in 1964.  It has grown and changed over the last 50 years to be what it is today - not only beautiful, but one of only a few full service campgrounds in the majestic Black Hills of South Dakota.

In May of 2021, Spokane Creek Cabins and Campground was purchased by a brother and sister duo.  Brian Hadrick loved the Black Hills and was looking for a campground to buy for a couple of years. Brian's love of motorcycle riding took him to Iron Mountain several times and always included a stop at the Iron Mountain Road Store.  In 2020, Brian took his then 80 year old mother on a motorcycle ride through the Southern Black Hills and of course on the 17 mile Iron Mountain Road with a stop at the Iron Mountain Road Store.  As Brian sipped on his ice cold beer, he never dreamed that in a short 10 months he would be called owner.

Brian contacted his older sister, Laura Baase, who loves the Black Hills equally (just not on a motorcycle) and who has a love of real estate and together they bought Spokane Creek Cabins and Campground and the Iron Mountain Road Store.

Brian and Laura's desire is to make each and every guest's visit to Spokane Creek one of their most enjoyable vacation experiences by providing clean, comfortable facilities, customer focused staff, good food & coffee and a unique shopping excursion. Whether you are staying with us as a guest of the campground or a visitor stopping at the Iron Mountain Road Visitor Center & Store, we want your visit to be a memorable one.  Our friendly staff is here to serve you and to provide information about the area and the attractions.

We hope you choose Spokane Creek as your vacation oasis in The Black Hills of South Dakota!  Please be sure to say hello and ask for "Mom" - we love to meet and get to know our guests.

Safe travels and happy vacationing to you!
